The Kent Companies Aligns Leadership Structure to Support Continue Growth

Midland, Texas — The Kent Companies announced a strategic corporate reorganization 
designed to strengthen leadership focus as the company continues significant expansion 
across nine states. Since 2020, the family-owned company has more than doubled its Kent 
Kwik Convenience store footprint through a combination of organic growth and 
acquisitions, growing to 132 stores and expanding into multiple new states and 
complementary business lines.

The reorganization establishes two operating divisions: a Retail Group, focused exclusively 
on convenience store and foodservice operations, and a Services Group, encompassing 
the company’s non-retail businesses. Brett Giesick has been named President of the Retail 
Group, overseeing all convenience store, foodservice, and merchandising operations. 
Giesick brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in convenience retail 
and foodservice, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating 
Officer of Colonial Group and previously as President of Enmarket, where he led the chain’s 
growth from 57 to 139 locations while driving strong operational and financial performance.

Todd Watkins will serve as President of the Services Group, leading the company’s 
automotive services Kent Lubrication Centers, Kent Tire, Prince Signs, Westex Urgent 
Cares, wholesale fuels, transportation and logistics, and financial services businesses. 
Watkins, a retired U.S. Navy Captain and former President and Chief Operating Officer of 
The Kent Companies, played a key role in guiding the company through its recent 
expansion—helping grow the convenience store platform from 52 to 132 locations across 
six new states while supporting entry into new industries. Both presidents will report to Bill 
Kent, Chairman and CEO. “This structure reflects the scale of our business today and 
positions us to operate with greater focus, speed, and accountability as we continue to 
grow,” Kent said. The new organizational structure is effective immediately.
